"Daisy, daisy give me your answer do...... I'm half crazy all for the love of you."

Our customers fell in love with our daisy earrings and requested a daisy necklace so here it is.

Like so many designs, this started out as something totally different in my mind (a more vertical pendant) but as I struggled to get the balance right the pieces fell onto my bench and there it was.

Design is a major step toward making a new piece but you also have to consider materials and engineering. Fine silver, which is pure silver and soft, makes this necklace beautiful and allowed me to add 24kt gold but once heated during the soldering and assembling they became too soft. Hammering them which compresses the molecules of silver helped but not enough for my liking. Ah hah---my solution was to solder a piece of sterling silver wire, a much stronger metal, to the reverse side.
