Chrysanthemum Stones are a limestone matrix with andalusite crystals that resemble chrysanthemum.  They are similar to chinese writing stones which feature chinese writing characters.   A sterling silver shadow box surrounds the stone.tear drop shaped stone is set in a lacy bezel and then surrounded by a sterling silver frame.  The area between the stone and frame is  textured and as well as the frame edge.  The bail features two cross bars adding to the oriental feel of this piece.
