Forged bangles are organic yet stylish and of a substantial thickness so they aappeal to both men and women. Starting with round copper or solid sterling silver wire just shy of 1/4" thick, a circle is created and then hammered to create a circle in a square. The metal is moved with each hammer blow and the corners are hammered in a different direction than the four faces creating a unique shape. While the sides are smooth and brushed, the four faces maintain a hammered texture. Like all of our jewelry, the bracelet is sealed to prolong its new finish. Since silver solder is used for strength, the copper version does have a hair line silver line that blends into the forged face of the bracelet. Prices range from $40 copper to $70 silver.
Forged Bangle Bracelet
Fold your hand as if you were putting on a bangle. With paper or string measure the widest point. This is the circumference. Divide the circumference by 3.14 to get the diameter. Our bracelets are made to the correct diameter. Move up a 1/4" for comfort or if you like a looser bangle add more. You can also measure the inside from side to side of a bangle you already have.
